Bougainville Conference
It was an opportunity for the people of Bougainville to draw their own lessons from their history, to reflect on the strengths of Bougainville society in building sustainable peace and development and to look forward thinking critically about where there is still work to be done. The intention was to contribute to the Bougainville peacebuilding conversation, giving voice to many points of view, and to give the people of Bougainville and opportunity to tell their story to the world of how Bougainvilleans have created their own peace. The conference was sponsored by the Buka Open Campus of the University of Papua New Guinea, The Australian National University and the Autonomous Government of Bougainville.
The conference was filmed and presentions and discussion from the event are available for viewing and download. The program of the conference is available here to view.
